Aura Aero is strengthening its partnership with Safran Electrical & Power to accelerate the development of the next generation of electric and hybrid-electric aircraft.
The new milestone reinforces the companies’ industrial and technological roadmap while advancing their shared ambition to support the development of low-carbon aviation.
Through the strengthened partnership, the companies will support the serial production of INTEGRAL E, Aura Aero’s all-electric training aircraft, powered by Safran Electrical & Power’s ENGINeUS™ motor.
The collaboration will also extend to ERA, Aura Aero’s 19-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft, which will be equipped with eight ENGINeUS™ electric motors.
In addition, Aura Aero and Safran Electrical & Power will jointly develop propulsion architectures intended to power future generations of aircraft.
Having supported Aura Aero since the early development phases of INTEGRAL E, Safran Electrical & Power is now contributing to the ramp-up of the company’s programmes. The strengthened collaboration is intended to support key milestones including certification, industrialisation and bringing the aircraft solutions to market.
