Safran Electrical & Power and Aura Aero are strengthening their partnership to accelerate the development of the next generation of electric and hybrid-electric aircraft.
The strengthened partnership reinforces the companies’ industrial and technological roadmap while advancing their shared ambition to support the development of low-carbon aviation.
Under the partnership, Safran Electrical & Power will support the serial production of INTEGRAL E, Aura Aero’s all-electric training aircraft, powered by Safran Electrical & Power’s ENGINeUS™ motor.
The collaboration will also extend to ERA, Aura Aero’s 19-seat hybrid-electric regional aircraft, which will be equipped with eight ENGINeUS™ electric motors.
The two companies will also jointly develop propulsion architectures intended to support the next generations of aircraft.
Safran Electrical & Power has supported Aura Aero since the early development phases of INTEGRAL E and will now contribute to the ramp-up of the company’s programmes.
The strengthened collaboration is expected to support key upcoming milestones, including certification, industrialisation and bringing the aircraft solutions to market.
