Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has announced the 100th customer delivery of the Gulfstream G700 and the completion of the aircraft’s 100th city-pair speed record, highlighting the aircraft’s performance and speed alongside Gulfstream’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and customer demand.
Mark Burns, President of Gulfstream, said the G700 has established a new benchmark in business aviation. He added that as deliveries have increased, customer demand has also grown, supported by investments from Gulfstream and its parent company, General Dynamics, in next-generation manufacturing technology and facilities.
The 100th G700 city-pair speed record connected Savannah with San Jose, California, with the aircraft completing the flight in 4 hours and 36 minutes at an average cruise speed of Mach 0.91. The aircraft then flew from San Jose to Teterboro, New Jersey, completing the record-setting flight in 4 hours and 14 minutes, also at Mach 0.91.
The G700 is produced at Gulfstream’s advanced manufacturing campus in Savannah, which uses high-technology tooling, advanced robotics and precision assembly methods to enhance operational efficiency. These manufacturing capabilities support the production of aircraft designed to deliver performance from the beginning of their service.
The G700 features Gulfstream’s next-generation Symmetry Flight Deck, including active control sidesticks and extensive use of touchscreen technology paired with Phase-of-Flight intelligence. These systems are designed to reduce pilot workload and enhance safety.
Additional safety features include Gulfstream’s Combined Vision System on dual head-up displays, which combines Enhanced Flight Vision System and Synthetic Vision System into a single image. The system is designed to increase pilot situational awareness and provide access to more airports.
