Embraer has announced the Phenom 300EV, the latest evolution of the world’s best-selling light jet for 14 consecutive years. The world’s fastest and furthest-flying light jet now features intuitive safety technologies, including Garmin Emergency Autoland, along with performance and interior enhancements designed to build on its capabilities and improve cabin utility and the customer experience.
As the largest business jet equipped with Garmin Emergency Autoland, the Phenom 300EV can perform a fully automated landing in the event of pilot incapacitation. Landings and takeoffs are also supported by class-exclusive Autobrake technology for additional safety and comfort. Supporting these capabilities, a new Embraer-developed Multi-Purpose Electronic Controller (MEC) integrates rudder-by-wire and other electronically controlled aircraft functions, helping reduce pilot workload and simplify maintenance.
Additional enhancements incorporated through the Garmin G3000 Prodigy Touch system include runway and taxi situational awareness based on Garmin’s 3D Taxiway Routing and Runway Occupancy Awareness (ROA), a synthetic vision guidance system (SVGS), FANS 1/A+, RNP AR 0.3 and an inertial reference system (IRS).
These systems complement existing features including the Runway Overrun Awareness and Alerting System (ROAAS), Autothrottle and Emergency Descent Mode. Together, the technologies expand the aircraft’s capabilities while focusing on safety and reduced pilot workload across a broad range of operating conditions.
Michael Amalfitano, President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets, said the Phenom 300 series has established a benchmark in the light jet category for more than a decade. He added that the Phenom 300EV introduces enhanced safety technology, improved performance and cabin refinements designed to make flying more intuitive, seamless and enjoyable.
Performance enhancements include an extended range of up to 2,055 nautical miles and an increase in maximum zero fuel weight, providing approximately 430 pounds of additional payload capacity.
The Phenom 300EV also introduces new True Blue Power lithium-ion batteries and LED taxi and landing lights designed to support improved reliability and dispatch performance.
